The player can move cards between the piles to create the foundations. Cards can be moved from the top of any face-up pile to the top of another pile, as long as the card being moved is one lower and of the same suit as the card it is being placed on. For example, a Six of Hearts can be placed on a Seven of Hearts.

Cards can also be moved from the face-down stack to the top of a face-up pile, or from the top of a face-up pile to the face-down stack. If a face-up pile becomes empty, the player can move a card from the face-down stack to fill the empty space.
